My journey to finally pursue the joy of being a photographer has been a long time in the making. It began some 45 years ago in college while taking courses in graphic design and photojournalism. My ultimate dream; become a photographer like Richard Avedon, David Bailey, Peter Lindberg or Irving Penn.
Unfortunately, full disclosure, I enjoyed the social life of college more so than the academic side. So...fast forward 15 or so years; finally settled down, happily married, two boys, new house and three years into an apprenticeship program with a commercial printer. That apprenticeship grew into a nearly 30-year career with that same commercial printer. Oh, the marriage? Still going strong too, 36 years and counting!
Two boys (now young men) married and one granddaughter…so far.
So, here I am... about to retire from one career and begin a new one.
Let's capture some memories, frame them and put them on the wall.
